Questions You May Have

What should my travel dates and times be? What airport should I fly into?

Please plan to arrive prior to 6pm November 14th, 2025 and leave Sunday November 16th, 2025. We will be having a Welcome Party on the Friday before the wedding from 7 - 11 pm to welcome guests flying in from out of town.

The closest airport is Miami International Airport which is only 10 minutes from downtown Coral Gables and 30 minutes to the venue.

Where should I stay?

Due to the variety of options Coral Gables and Miami generally have for lodging, we are not doing a hotel block so our guests can have more flexibility in their choices. If you want to stay as close as possible, choose hotels near the University of Miami campus. If you want more options stay in downtown Coral Gables. And if you want to enjoy Miami fully please feel free to stay in Miami (although you need to keep travel time and traffic in mind). For more specific recommendations and information please go to the Travel & Stay tab.

How do I RSVP? What is the deadline?

Please RSVP using the button below. The deadline is October 12, 2025. Please RSVP as soon as possible anyways so we can get an accurate headcount.

What’s the dress code?

The event dress code is Formal. For men this means suits or tuxedos. For women this means gowns, fancy midi dresses or pantsuits. The theme of the wedding is Love in Bloom so wearing bright colors and florals is encouraged, but please don’t feel the need to purchase anything new! If you would like examples please see this Pinterest board.

I have a dietary restriction - what should I do?

The meal is a plated dinner so it’s very important you let us know about dietary restrictions in advanced. Our caterer is phenomenal and can accommodate most restrictions with time so please just reach out.

Are children invited? And an important safety note

We love children at weddings! Children we have spent time with are the only ones who have been explicitly invited. If your wedding invite is addressed as “The Lewis Family” then your children are also invited. Please RSVP for them so we can coordinate with you for kids meals.

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE: The wedding venue is located on a canal and the event will be around an open, unfenced pool. If you plan on bringing your kids please be aware that they will be around open water all night long. Of course there will be plenty of people around, but please plan for safety precautions.

What time does the event start? When does the event end?

Since the whole event will take place at one location the guest arrival starts at 4:00 pm on November 15, 2025 and will continue in the same location throughout the night. In true Miami style the party won’t stop until it’s over! Be sure to wear your dancing shoes and be prepared to stay up late. Don’t worry, there will be cafecito to keep you awake!

How do I get to and from the wedding venue?

We will have transportation shuttles arranged based on where most people decide to stay. Please arrange to get yourself to the shuttle points. More details will be released closer to the date. Additionally there will be limited valet parking at the venue. You can also take a rideshare directly to the venue. See more details in the Transportation section of the Travel & Stay tab.
